cutting down our tree.Jesse put our new chainsaw to good use this week. We found a wonky little cedar tree to be our very first Christmas tree! We have collected only a handful of ornaments from our first two years of marriage, and I haven’t yet found any good solar or battery-powered Christmas lights, but our little cabin is definitely feeling much more festive.

I had your mailing address at one point but I’ve misplaced it. Send it to me and the kids and I will send you some homemade salt-dough ornaments for your tree :-)

    • Alissa! Thank you that would be amazing! We still owe you some treats. We’re hoping for honey in the spring, but either way we haven’t forgotten the hickory syrup (I mean, how could we?!)!

awesome. watch for a package! the kids and i make salt dough ornaments every year, we have since they were babies. they used to be fairly crude but all 3 of us have evolved nicely and now, if i do say so myself, they’re lovely :-)

Love that red chair! I’ve been thinking about stringing popcorn to make up for the fact that the sun and the solar system seem uninterested in christmas spirit.
