  1. I know this may seem quite a weird question, or maybe not. I and my wife are 23 years old. We want nothing more than to be able to have a small farm, be self sustainable, as much as possible anyway. Live a life more toward the manner of being and doing our own. I know there is much we need learn and do to get there, but I guess my.question is, where to start? I know this is quite a complicated question, and I hope to not bother you by it. Thank you for your help if possible to give, and thank you for your time anyway. I do hope to hear from you as to your thoughts of this email. Thank you again.

    • Scotty! Great, I say go for it. And where to start is not hard. Assuming you don’t have much prior farming experience, I would recommend doing an apprenticeship or two. You can find farms who offer apprenticeships all over the country either through wwoof.org or by emailing nearby farms. Honestly, for as hard as it can be to dedicate a year of your life to learning, there’s no better place to start! Good luck and let us know how we can help!
